Dynamic Driving Malfunction!!

I have received this error message twice now. Warns to drive car carefully as cornering at speeds might be altered. I got the message the first time about 2 days ago and it cleared when I restarted the car. Today I got it again but now it comes back on within a minute of restarting the car. Is it the torque distribution system? Everything is dynmaic this and performance that. Anyone else seen this on an M yet or an X6 as I think it has this system as well?

Not too happy and a little worried as I just came out of an '08 X5 4.8 assited buy back.

You all think its ok to continue to drive?

I wouldn't hit the local autocross or gymkhana track, but cars have been rolling
down the highways for almost a century without those computer assists...

I would take it in to your dlr at your next convenience and have them fix it.

i don't have a x5m yet, but i agree to take it to the dealer consciously and have it resolved. Post back here with what happened, I'm curious.

Yay for electronic hiccups.

It sounds like a fault related to the anti-roll system. You may continue to drive around without problems, but just don't go to the track or autocross until it's fixed.

Update. I took it inot to the dealer this morning and left it. After about a week with no malfunction error it came back today and would not go off. Delaer stated they had seen one other with the same problem and turned out to be a faulty module. Funny becasue there is only one other M in the Seattle area so far. makes me wonder. Dealer stated they would have the same team work on this that worked on the last one. I'll keep you all posted. Not happy as going to an X3 for a loaner is sad.

Update got the car back today. They have to get an ARS Module, I believe active roll stabilzation out of Germany in order to install. This sounds like a guess as to the cause of the malfunction but I suppose I need to go through the process for now. Part arrival is 8 to 10 days to get from Germany. I asked why they could not get this out of South Carolina and the answer was they didnt have any either. So anyone waiting for an M. Acording to this respionse they can't build them without this part so no new M's coming out. I smell BS but we'll see.

I just got this message this morning, and also got the check engine light two days ago "***** malfunction - reduced engine power", or something like that (cleared before I could commit it to memory).
Both messages cleared spontaneously within a few seconds, before I could even shut the car off.
I assumed it had something to do with the cold weather we're having at the moment (minus 35 Celsius!!!!).
Thanks for the info about the ARS module - might save me some time with my service department - hopefully, all will be well, and it won't be an issue.

Thats how mine started. "Dynamic Driving Malfunction" With a red rollover display in the check control display between the speedo and Tach. It started spoaridically like once a week then came on permanently. Still waiting to get it fixed. I will let you know if the ARS module I am waiting for fixes the problem.
