I hate waiting. If someone tells me that waiting is part of the new car order experience, I hate this person too. How can waiting be fun? Driving the beast is fun, not waiting for it.

Btw: my X5 M is scheduled for February 8-12 production, just think of how impatient I am right now. I could bite my sales person's neck off for not getting me an earlier car.

Living in Germany, I also have the pleasure to wait another 3-4 weeks until the car actually arrives at my dealer over here. Waiting fun? C'mon, you guys must be nuts.

Come on...it is part of the experience. I took my E70 off the lot. It just wasn't the same as ordering and waiting. It was almost anticlimactic . I waited 10 weeks for the X6. It was worth every agonizing second.

you usually have to pay extra for that, oh im used to the waiting aspect, it just never gets any easier. i did have enough foresight to not test the drive the car first so the first time i drive the car i'll be pleasantly surprised!! my slow but sure process of changing all my cars to turbo awd car is on the way lol (335xi, lancia integrale, STi, and now the x5m)

You can either goto :

https://www.bmwusa.com/secured/conte...ms/login2.aspx

register for owners circle and get it from there or call BMWNA with your production number orrrrr my favorite ....is call your Sales man and harass them everyday lol (which gives you the most upto date info)

haha its fun!!! My normal sales guy got lucky this time, one of my good friends just became a salesman at rasmussen bmw of portland so they did the deal together but instead of calling my regular guy i just called, texted, FB my friend and got everyone else to do it to get my updates. One day i got all our mutual friends to spam his FB wall asking where my X5 M was lol
