to answer OP's question, it really depends on how deep your wallet is.

Would anyone really buy one of these for a weekend toy? I would imagine that a daily driver is what 95%+ of people use these for. Anyone looking for a weekend toy would have many better options at that price. Like an actual sports car.

I am not sure about the X5M, but the M5 I owned was eating a lot of gas in the city 22.3 L/100km.

I believe the X5M is going to eat more than that, if you can effort 60$ ( that was on my M5) everyday than have fun I am sure you are going to spend more

Personally I would not suggest you to take it if you drive a lot, but " if you go M, you never come back again, there is no one to blame " enjoy the power !

x2

It has got to be fun regardless of where or how you drive it.

I love my X5M as a daily driver. I wouldn't want anything else. I pretty much have every option except for rear dvd, rear AC, and smartphone integration, none of which I felt I needed. All the other options are great. And I also agree that the comfort doors, only $600 more on an already $90k vehicle, are definitely worth it.

The multi contour vented seats are so comfortable too. Every passenger who has ridden in my car agrees that these seats are one of the most comfortable seats they have sat in.

Only negatives about using it as a daily driver: gas mileage as posted before and careless people putting scratches, dents etc on the car. A friend was loading groceries into the trunk yesterday and accidentally hit the bottom half of the hatch with a wine bottle and left a small dent.

Did you beat him or her with the bottle? They would deserve it.

If you're going to have kids in the back seat, the DVD is great! Otherwise, leave it off. Every other option other than Smart Phone is worth the money.
