can the rear headrests be removed?

Just picked up my 2013 X5M and want to remove one of the rear headrests because I don't want the child car seat resting on it and indenting it. Tried pulling it up while pushing on the tab but it won't come out. Anyone successful in removing it?

This is my first BMW and after the 2 hour drive home from the dealership, I'm sold! One of the best cars I've ever owned.

Any tricks, or just push the tab and keep yanking?

Not sure if its a trick. I had the seat backed pulled forward,as if I were going to lay it down. Then I just pushed the button and pulled fairly hard. No problem. It went back in just fine. If in doubt, take it to the dealership

Thanks. I'll try again. I found it odd that they wouldn't come out, but I was yanking at it pretty hard and it wouldn't budge past the highest stop.
