Very nice car! Wish the ground clearance is same with X3 and X5/X6, at least 200mm or more. 225mm will be better.

They've got a full microsite working on BMW Deutschland : Home. Pricing is also available in Germany. I've attached that along with the Equipment list. Note that the US only gets the petrol version.
Despite it's disappointing looks, there is ONE version of the X1 that I would be interested in: sDrive20d Graphite Blue Metallic Black Elektra Cloth on Sport seats and Aluminium trim Standard Style 317 17" wheels Options: Panoramic moonroof Anthracite headliner Sport seats, sport steering wheel Adaptive bi-xenons + High beam assistant Smoker's Package 6CD Changer Adjustable front armrest 177bhp 6-speed manual gearbox 5,2l/100km, Euro-5 Emissions band And since that's never going to make it over the pond, I can forget about the X1 just like I forget the X6.
