Passenger mirror issues...

My passenger mirror won't adjust and folded occasionally but that's stopped now? Could it be the motor? Even though it folds on accasions?
Has anybody experienced this? Maybe a loose wire?
Can I check it somewhere? Maybe put it on a diagnostic?
Fuse? Thanks for any input!

If it was just the mirror tilt I would say the position sensors inside the power mirror; they can fail and adjusting becomes erratic, to the point of not moving at all. The control module can also be a problem, since the tilt controls go through that module for mirror memory functions.

If the folding function is also not working, I would look to the wiring harness where goes from the door jamb to the door, as the wires can abrade. Also check the switch control panel in the door.

Similar problem, only on the other side My driver's side mirror stopped working. Adjustment and the folding function both quit. Passenger side still works. Adjustment, folding and tilt for reverse all still work on the right. I'd have thought the adjustment and folding were two different motors. Just wanted to see if anyone had a resolution before I start buying parts. Thanks.

I had a similar problem, but ended up with, no power windows from drivers door, no rear window lock, no mirror adjustment or fold either side. Removed drivers door panel and disconnected mirror as suggested on another forum apparently the mirror motor can block the Bus signal. That had everything working again apart from disconnected mirror, so proving the adjustment motor at fault. I now know I need driver side UK mirror motor. Question is, are both sides the same ? they have different part numbers 67136965061 and 67136965062. It gets complicated by USA / UK drivers side. I have auto tint, power fold, heating and the ribbon cable style so I know I need one of the above just not sure if i can have either or what one I need for uk drivers side, any one know ?
