Newbie here! Questions...

Ok, I just bought a '07 X3 with 81k miles on the clock. According to the "bmw vin decoder" websites, my car has the "LEDER NEVADA/F4 SANDBEIGE (LUF4)" upholstery option. Is this real leather, or that high-end vinyl BMW uses?
I also have option #639: COMPLETE PREP. CELLULAR PHONE USA/CDN. Does this mean it has the Bluetooth option so I can hook up my S7? And lastly, anyone know how I can play my iPod through the sound system? My car has the little RCA jack on the back of the center console (why is it placed there? Why not somewhere a little more accessible to the driver?)
Mine doesn't have the Nav system that sits inside the pop-up console on the dashboard - just an empty storage space, maybe for some sunglasses?
Thanks for any input!
Tony

Not sure about the upholstery.....

You should be able to play the iPod....plug it in to the little jack and change the "mode" on the radio to "aux".

The radio should be able to pair to your cell phone...did you get the Bluetooth code card with the car? It would look like the file I attached...the four digit PK code is the pairing code...

Got another question: Anyone here installed the Curt trailer hitch and Curt trailer wiring kit? The trailer hitch looks pretty straightforward, but the wiring kit looks a bit more intimidating. Probably gonna try to tackle these two jobs tomorrow...

Not sure about the tow hitch, The nevada is real leather (LEDER) and it's mentioned in your vin because is an optional upgrade! Sweet deal. Factory Vinyl is not mentioned.

Also check other forums on XOUTPOST and on eBAY for NAV systems. Most of them on ebay are from China, (because they had bought the tech from german aftermarket companies a few years back) I got a 7' navigation touchscreen with 32 gb storage and movie playback for $375 plus like $25 bucks for shipping. It was some of the best money I've spent! It's never messed up or glitched on me once. Always gets me right to my destination. Congrats on the car, I have an '06 3.0i. Enjoy your ride!
