Rear Springs

Hi All and Happy Thanksgiving. I have a 2004 X3 with sport suspension. I've replaced the rear springs once already with BMW ones and they are broken again. Has anyone tried to use the Lesjofors for standard suspension instead of the BMW sport ones. A pair of them is 119.00 vs BMW at 360.00. That is at FCP so at least they have the lifetime warranty. The only thing I can think of is the car may sit a little higher in the rear. Can't see how that would be a big issue. Just can't handle the price difference.

I have not done the 2004 X3 yet, but I used Lesjofors springs for my 2003 325i.
I love the Lesjofors springs, they sit perfectly.

Okay I might not have been clear on this. The X3 I have has sport suspension. Lesjofors doesn't make the sport suspension springs. The Lesjofors ones are for non sport suspension. The wicked expensive BMW ones are for sport suspension.

Slightly off topic but still relative to your issue...I had broken rear springs on my z4. I replaced them but was still getting premature tire wear (specifically cupping and fast wear on inside of tire. Turns out my shocks were blown (probably by broken springs). So if you already broke your replacement springs make sure your rear shocks aren’t blown.

Inner tire wear, look into Rear ball joints!

I did them, and trailing arm bushings...both seemed fine...shocks were toast...I think it allowed the tires to skip/bounce a little which was exaggerated at the inner edge.
