Diamon Fusion Window Treatment

Anybody have any opinions on Diamon Fusion window treatment? Marketing always sounds terrific and the dealer while not quite pushing it has suggested its a good idea.

Well you can go here to see:

http://www.diamonfusion.com/en/products/improves.html

It's a coating that supposedly increaes visibility by keeping the glass clear of water (like Rain-X) and it also apears to protect against small impacts, and makes the glass easier to clean.

Never heard of it, but it sounds interesting. Keep us updated, and post some pics if you do have installed.

Welcome to the board, by the way.

I had the Diamon Fusion window treatment done to my 2006 X3. I've only had the car 4 days and we have not had any rain so I don't know how good it works. The main reason I purchased it, is that it included insurance for the windshield. If the windshield needs to be repladed due to any chips or cracks from stones, it's coverd.

Doesn't most car insurance cover a broken windshield?

That depends on your comprehensive coverage. I'm not fully covered.

How much was it? My dealer wants $700 for it. At $5.0 month for glass coverage that's a lot of months!!

I've emailed the comany to see if there are any licensees in my area and I'll see how much they charge.

BTW have you tried spraying water on the windshield to see if it sheets off?

I paid $600 for it. Between the windshield coverage and the ability to shed water, seemed like something I wanted. It was an impluse purchase. Have not tried spraying water on it. I've been too busy looking into ice>Link for the car.
