X3 sirius install but no sound

Ok, so I ordered the X3 with the satellite preparation but not the radio. I got the Sirius kit from the dealer and installed it this weekend. Everything was pretty straight forward considering all the wiring was done and just waiting to be plugged in, but no sound is coming out. The Sirius is clearly connected to the NAV, working and receiving a signal, im just not getting any sound... Does anybody know if the pre wiring done for the ‘satellite preparation’ option needs to be augmented in anyway? i.e. plugged in to the radio unit or connected thru the DSP? I would appreciate any help I can get.

If you have a CD changer or ice<Link Plus installed, then you need to switch a 6-pin connection to the back of the radio to that labeled CDSARS, similarly, you'll need to switch the connection to the CD changer/ice<Link Plus.

With the satellite preparation there are two sets of CD wires that go to the back of the radio (in the dashboard). One runs to the console and the other runs to the cargo area where the Sirius receiver gets installed. Mine came from the factory with the cable to the console pluged into the radio. You have to pull the radio and switch the plugs. The one from the cargo area will be tied to the cable bundle. You'll see it when you pull the radio.

Thanks guys, I switched the plugs and everything is working great! I can't believe the dealership tried to charge me $300 to do that.

I'm suprised your kit didn't come with instructions. Mine did.
