Canadian Newbie Questions
I have installed the AUX adapter in my top bin, and am happy with it. My questions are: - How do I know if I'm prewired for Sirius? Can I tell from the pre-wire bundles? - Can I use one of the pre-wires for my GPS? - Does the optional CD changer support MP3? - Any way to display ID3 tags for an MP3 on a CD? - I removed the center bin - my wire bundle only has two plugs in it - what does this mean? - Bluetooth: I'd like to buy a kit. I've looked at Martin's, and am interested, but don't want to deal with duty, UPS fees etc. Does BMW Canada sell a retrofit kit? My dealer can get individual parts, which add up to quite an expense (I think CAD$850 for the ULF). I'll have more questions ![]() Thanks Andre |

Andre,
As a fellow canuck, I have a few of your answers: - no prewire for Sirius in Canada (at least not in my '06) - optional CD changer does support MP3's (P/N 82-11-0-028-760) - no display of ID3 tags with in-dash CD or changer - 2-wire bundle in console for CD is normal (no DSP) - Bluetooth/Assist - I ended up buying my car with factory installed, but had same price range quoted on retrofitting a 2005 with BT (no assist) No idea on your GPS question... Cheers, Pierre |

Do you know why there's 3 co-ax type plugs in the rear compartment? I assumed one was for Sirius. My stereo does have DSP - should I have more wires in the console? Cheers |
