Nope. If you're looking for an excellent tint job, go to Tint Pro's in huntington beach orange county. They are the best and they offer lifetime warranty with their tint jobs if I'm not mistaken.

I looked at the Huper tint and went with 3M solar Guard. It's just as good at blocking UV and heat. Huper has a great product but don't worry if you can't find it locally.

What % solar guard did you go with? I am thinking about getting the 49% ultra performance for the front windshield and sun roor and maybe 32% high performace charcoal for the sides and rear.

Front windshield? I wouldn't think you could tint that legally.
I have HP Charcoal Bekaert Solar Gard tinting, not 3M, sorry about the mis info. The front sides are 32% (68% blocked) and 22% rear sides and rear window (78% blocked) I went with what I could legally for the front sides in AZ. Some states are different. Cal doesn't allow anything other than factory tint on the front sides.

5%??? That's almost complete blockage. Is that legal? What kind of machine does a cop carry around with him to measure tint? You must of run into one sharp officer to be able to notice the difference between 2 and 5% and actually pull you over for it, or one bored one to waste his time on this.

i believe here in florida the legal tintage is 28%... and wne i went to the shop i had them put 5% on which is darkkk limo dark.. and afte rthe test the cop showed me i ahad 2 %... its a small device in whihc you must rolldown the window about half way.and he just slides the machine- it looks like its clipped on over the top... and it reads the percentage

Yes, it is illegal to tint the front windshield or the driver and passenger side window in Cali. I was reading up on the Solar Guard Ultra performace and it's supose to be almost clear. I might end up going w/ Huper Optik 60% for the front windshield instead and 40% everywhere else. My installer had never had issues w/ the 60% on the windshield. Most people can't even tell it was tinted. I just don't know if its worth the extra money for the Huper Optic.

I had the whole X3 done in Solar Gard for 200.00. It's really a good product and I wouldn't have any question referring it to others. The dealer tried to sell the Huper product for 700.00 but I passed. I asked a few of the bigger tint shops here in Prescott about it and they said if I wanted it, they could order it. If you check on various sites on the web, the Solar Gard comes pretty well recomended, so I went with that.
