A Big thank you to X3 World
Just a note of thanks to X3 World and a question. The thanks comes for the squeaky windows that I noticed on mine after having it for a few days...a quick search revealed it and my dealer is doing ALL 4 windows....I wonder why they did not tell me about it and I had to tell them...thanks for the info X3 World !! Now are there ANY other service bulletins that I should look into on an 04 X3 SAV 2.5i that this groups knows of..?? Thanks again ! Nick |

Lol, wow you kept your creaky windows for a long long time !
They're have been many reports on crapfly.com that even though they got updated seals, that the creaking eventually returns. However I have yet to hear creaks again - knock on wood. But good luck with the update. I can't think of anything else for your X3. Other things I've had worked on was my moonroof (replaced cassette because it was getting dirty and wasn't closing smoothly) and a faulty oxygen sensor. Oh and there was also an engine coil recall a far far while back. But if you took your BMW in for service your dealer might have already done it without your knowledge. Have them pop in the key into the keyreader and check. |

Your dealer should have done all required repairs before you got the car. The creaky seals one was a customer complaint basis repair only so dealer didn't have to do it.

I use Bimmerfest in addition to the X3world.
If you want, you can get a free homelink mirror. It's a service bulletin where some customers complain of poor or intermittent remote reception. They replace the inside rearview mirror with the Homelink. |
