Angry DMV fees in your State?

I am a bit curious!
How much money you have to pay to register your X3 in order to be street legal in your state? I found my State, NEVADA, extremely expensive. more considering the quality of the streets and the traffic lights in my city LAS VEGAS you have to stop in every one of them anytime. This is so far the worst synchronization I have seen in the country, I believe this is done just to favor the Taxis in the city.

Nevada Fees
Plate Renewal 20.00
Registration Fee 33.00
Basic Gov Services Tax 440.00
Supp Gov Services Tax 110.00
Total 603.00

Here in Ohio to register my 01 X5 3.0 it only was $54.50 for a full year, and the state tax is 6.75%. Thats all they charge here in ohio.

$603? Ouch! Registration runs $180 for 2 years in MD for SUVs. More if you have specialized or personalized plates since some of them you have to pay a fee.

eltroco,
Your state doesn't have a personal income taxes...
the political geniuses have to mine the individual tax
payer in some manner; thus, the high car fees.

The registration fees were only about $200 when I picked the car up. The killer is EXCISE TAX in Mass where you pay $25.00 for every $1000 the car is worth YEARLY!! Fortunately, they seriously undervalue the car, but between the Porsche and the BMW I'll be hovering around $900 per year just in this stupid tax.
