Alright guys, my wife got in from work and I checked the rear left panel. There is a bundle of wires wrapped in a black foam covering. After checking the vehicle specs, I found that the care does have satellite preparation. Now, I noticed in Tom's posting, he noted I needed an antenna connector. Is there anything else I need other than the sirius receiver and mounting brackets.

Since you are prewired for Sirius, your X3 already has the antenna installed (sharkfin on roof). The retrofit kit for prewired vehicles will include the mounting bracket, screws/locks and the sirius receiver.

Tom, thank you buddy. Hey I really like that Ipod kit you have. Does it work for the e90 as well as the x3?

Not yet for the e90 - but we have your X3 covered in the meantime.

Hey guys, am I going to have to remove the radio from the dash for any reason? If i do need to, is there an easy way of extracting the radio with the least amount of damage?

That is for the 1st Generation receivers, they have been discontinued. The kits we offer will include everything you need, including instructions and Sirius Activation sheet - no need to purchase everything seperately.

A few things, you will need an antenna connector. MAKE sure you ask the salesguy to open the box and see if it's in there. If not, you need to buy one, if so, your in luck.
To remove the head unit, (and you will), gently pull / rotate the top of the vents towards you while puling out at the bottom. Remove two screws that hold the console face in place. Pull the console face out "GENTLY" to expose the head unit. Remove the two screws holding the head unit in place. Pull out the head unit. Remove the white connector and replace with the one you find bundled up with foam. Bundle the white connector you just took out of the head unit so it would start to rattle. Put it all back together in the opposite order.

Okay, so I have to remove the air vents first, then unscrew and remove console exposing the head unit. Finally, pull out head unit. It doesn't have any screws? If you could direct me to some pics that would be really great.

The head unit has two screws holdng it in place, take them out. It would really be a lot easier if you were actually looking at what I have already seen. Two screws holding the face plate in, (at the top of the face plate)
Two screws for the head unit, you'll see them when you get there.

Okay, so exactly how is it that the vents are removed. Again, Rick, I really appreciate your time and patience.
