It has arrived (with photos)

Ok, it has already arrived almost more than one month ago, but August was a complicated month on the first half (work related, deploying a project) and vacation time with family on the second half.

Specs:
- X3 Aug 2006
- 2.0d
- Almost all gadgets - navi pro, bluetooth, xenon, etc
- panorama roof, aluminium footstep
- no leather, nor heating

First "mod": Navi DVD with Radar and Geocaching POIs.
Next "mod": I-BUS

No leather, huh. How do you like the sensatec leatherette? Here in the states it is only available in black or tan but yours looks gray, right?

@mwbbmw: it's not the laatherette. That's only available with black and beige. We would have selected it if there would be grey. This is pure cloth. We've decided for cloth because it was cheaper (€1.400 for leather, plus ~€1.000 for heating, plus something else), we have a cat, we don't care that much about leather, and we'd rather spend the money on "gadgets".

We decided for grey to be different from any other German - here there's only black leather, beige leather for 7 series, and some grey leather in 1 series. There was no car (not even one) with grey cloth or beige cloth. So we and a couple friend of ours decided to get this X3 on cloth grey, and they got a 3-series touring with beige cloths. The idea is to go to the lease company, when the lease ends, and tell them "hey, you're never gonna be able to sell these cars to any German guy, so what about selling them to us by half of the price?" >

Nice X3, congrats. I noticed the "m" sport steering wheel but not some of the other items found in the U.S. version sport Package. Were you able to order it as a seperate line item?

In europe, almost everything can be ordered individually. The packages are just a way to sell more items for a cheaper price (pay 2 get 3).
For example, the only item not available in separate for the sport package is the bodyworks (stiffer suspension, etc). Everything else - sport seats, wheel, coloured bumpers, etc are individual items available.

Looks nice! interesting to note that the "RoW" X3s have the old style headlight washers while the US ones with painted bumpers have the flush mount ones...
