Battery Keeps Dying

2006 X3. This is the second time the battery has died and I'll have to jumper cable it to start it. Does anyone know if there's a TSB or bad battery issue with a Feb 06 build? I don't have anything being used in the 12v outlets either. Thanks.

Do you lock the vehicle when you leave it in your home garage for the night? There's a "sleep" mode on BMWs where it pretty much minimizes battery use by cutting off power to many functions. It's supposed to go into this mode after you lock the door, or after the car is left for 20min.

Here's the entire list:

I have read about other people with '06 models having batteries go bad within 6 months. Have the dealer test the battery. If it's bad they should replace it at no charge.

Does a BATTERY DRAIN SYMBOL come up in your display? Could be a glitch in the software. Its time to see a dealer to correct the problem before other problems accur.
Good luck
cheers

Ok, It's time I visit the dealer. I only lock it up at night (wouldn't think a blinking clown nose drained so much :-)
