Pinging Scott27: X3 Biturbo - when?

So when will the 335i BiTurbo 300 HP/300 FT-LBS engine be transplanted into the X3? When in 2007 will it appear? I'm getting antsy for a new vehicle.

We already have a Bi Turbo in Europe although it's the 3.0 diesel. Still pumps out 286 bhp, 580nm and has a 0-62mph of 6.6 seconds. And the best part. 30+ mpg.

He's talking about the N54 engine (petrol).

Vinuneuro, which part of the above statement did you not understand? I am fully aware that the thread is asking about the petrol engine, however I was pointing out that in Europe we have a Bi Turbo DIESEL X3 that not only has outstanding performance figures, but also brings in excellent fuel economy.

If you have no reason to post, other than taking a cheap shot at someone, then at least get your facts right!

You spent 16min on crafting that beauty of a post, and that's all you could come up with?

How many people do you really think don't know that? Think about it..

Are you Don, are you really? It's not at all relevant to the OP's concern.

You didn't mention a petrol engine in your thread so it makes it hard to believe that you are aware of this fact. In fact, he was specific about the engine specs (and thus, which specific engine he meant). So it seems that your little plug about the diesel engine that we're all WELL aware exists and available in the X3, was a useless tangential post that people had to waste time reading.

Let me rephrase your post more concisely:

Tsk, tsk, tsk. I don't see anything in Vinuneuro's first post that warranted your strong response.

Ok, guys let me get back in line here, I took the post by Vinuneuro as having a go at me for not understanding the thread. I was just pointing out the diesel engine has performance figures will be similar to the bi turbo petrol engine yet give better fuel economy. If I was out of line then my apologies.

I think the :NOADD: was below the belt however. That is how I took your post.

Don
