Question X3 Heated mirror

it is summer time here in Canada but my side mirrors are very hot. I am sure it is not by sun, it is heated mirror. But the heat is just so high that my fingers cant even touch it more than 2 seconds. It this normal even in the summer time?
I read the usual manual, it said heated mirror will auto on when outside temp is low enough. Please advise..

Dunno...they may be stuck in "on" pos and/or too much juice to heating unit.
The heated mirrors on our ol' 01 X5 heat whenever key is in#2 pos/on, but it's not to hot to touch or hold fingertip against the surface. Lean on your Stlr; that's what you paid for...even if someone Does diagnose it, the Stlr is gonna be the one to fix it. GL,md

stlr is short for "stealer", which is a term of endearment for the "dealer"
