Dinan X3 upgrades done

I went down to Braman BMW in Palm Beach and picked up the X3 after they added the Mass air flow and stage 2 programming. I really like the improvement. The added torque is very noticable. The added 240 rpm's give the car more speed in each gear. Once you are at highway speed the car accelerates much quicker than before. It seems to get better as it adjusted to the new programming on the first day. It was worth the money! the cost was 349.00 for the air unit, 399.00 for the programming and 475.00 for the labor. It is all certified under BMW's warranty. I would recommend it if you are looking for an added blast to your X3 04.05 or 06. You can speak to Eric at Dinan extension 132. I am headed up to NC to go skiing and I am sure I will really enjoy the ride.

I've been considering doing the same upgrades myself. Although Dinan's prices are rather steep for the gains achieved I trust that their power gain claims are not "optomistic" like most manufacturers. I also like the design of the intake kit. I've seen some other CIA kits that look tacky and "added on". Ugly sheet metal boxes and smaller surface area filters. The Dinan unit looks very well designed and was made specifically for the X3. I'd much rather have that under my hood. Even if it does cost a little more.

The High Flow Intake System and the Stage 2 programming seem to be the best combination for the price/performance gain but I'm really tempted to go (almost) all the way. High Flow Intake System, Throttle Body, and the Stage 3 programming. The only part I can't justify is the $999 exhaust.

Congrats on your mods and let us (me ) know what you think after your trip!

Awesome...now take it to a dyno and see what you actually paid for

X3 3d up-grade

I have just my 05 X3 3d M Sport ,power upgrade by Autologic, as it was the first oil burner to be done a few probs. were found within the BMW ecu programme, however these were resolved by Autologic, 40 bhp, onto the 220 original, the torque is tremendous as is the extra acceleration , £350 gb pounds, well worth it, also changed the over hard, for me, suspension for an AC Schnitzer set up, this is superb, £1000.gb pounds but worth every penny, any-one interested in the original suspension parts???
