Vacationing in Spartanburg. . .

Just got about 7 things touched up on the X3 and getting ready for a vacation in Hilton Head. We are taking I-75 South, so I figured an overnighter in Spartanburg is a must. Zentrum Museum is open of course, but the factory tours are booked solid through the end of the month. Guess I will have to come back again. . .

Anyone been to this town? Any good restaurants? Anything I need to do in particular at the BMW HQ?

Nothing that great in S'burg. I advise skip it, go 5 more miles down the road and go to downtown Greenville. Much better resturants, hotels, things to do. If you want some ideas let me know.

It's only one night--we get in at around 3 PM in time for Zentrum, and we'll leave the next morning early for HHI. Just need a place to eat other than Olive Garden. . .

IMO, the best restaurants are (smalltime chains) Sticky Fingers downtown, (great southern ribs) and California Dreaming off Pelham Road in a little cluster (Something fish- kingfish? drive) (Look off of 85 Westish of 385)
Seafood Nachos = delicious, but you will need to do a lot of running if you know what i mean

Much better, too now d/t the non-smoking indoors law in SC

take some pix, you will definately see some interesting things. (I saw E70 4 months before release :p )
