April BMW Group vehicle sales of 28,692 units increased only 0.5% when compared to April, 2006. YTD BMW Group sales totaling 104,125 units were also up only 2.9% over the total of 101,151 units sold during the first four months of 2006. This result is primarily due to increases in sales of the 3 Series, 7 Series, and the X5 Series in April.
Sales of the BMW brand were up only 0.2% over April, 2006.
This month BMW outsold Mercedes-Benz by 7,797 units and also outsold Lexus as well by 2,697 units.
