Buy & Install Navigation System in X3 '04???

Firstly I want a big Hello to anyone. It’s the first time I write in the forum, and I am very happy to find a web place like this.
I want to ask if anyone can tell me if it is possible to buy and install the original navigation system in my X3. If yes, where I can buy it (the monitor, the navigation system, dvd player e.t.c.)
Thank you very much

welcome ! :xoutpost:

Its possible. You can buy them from your BMW parts counter at your local dealership. Or you could try e-bay...

However, the navigation conversion is quite something because,

1. Its labor intensive. You'll be tearing out seats, the carpet, etc... to replace the wiring harness with the new nav wire harness.

2. Its costly. OEM parts are expensive...

So, if you have the money and the time, I guess you could give it a shot.

Otherwise, you might just be better off with a 3rd party navigation system...

Greetings you'll find this place VERY useful

There have been a few of these upgrades done. It's not cheep but defenitely doable. Here's a link to a recent thread.

I found it by using the search feature, searched for "navigation" on the X3 E83 forum.
