New 2007 X3 Owner

I'm new to this board since I just picked up my new 2007 X3 3.0si last night. Only have 25 miles on it so far but I'm looking forward to racking up the miles this weekend. Will post some pics as soon as I have the chance.

Has anyone noticed a slight jerk or grab when just about to reach a complete stop? It almost feels like it's dropping in to 1st gear. Thanks in advance.

Welcome. Yes, your transmission is "dropping" in to 1st gear. No worries

Yes, it is a MAJOR problem with the 6-speed Auto in the 2007 X3. You may as well bring it back to the dealer. Refer to:

:xoutpost: Glad to see another X3 owner. Post up pics when you can!

As for your slight jerk when braking, it may be the gearbox problem listed in the threads above, but that's usually a hesistation problem when you accelerate. If it's very slight, then it may be normal. Then again, it never happens on my 5-speed. It could be related to the brakes since there's that Comfort Stop thingy that's programmed into the braking system. If it annoys you, bring it to the dealer.
