You should be able to, but will have to pay extra for it. When I checked into getting a custom colour in '05, I think it was 1-3 thousand dollars extra (I can't remember the actual quote). Your dealer should be able to give you a quote. Whether or not you can get a particular colour depends on where your car is manufactured. I wanted a colour which was specific to the 5-series, and was unable to get it as the X3 and 5-series are manufactured in different countries. However, since you'd like a colour which was previously available on the X3, I don't think you'll have a problem.

I saw a custom Estroil Blue E46 M3 on eBay once. I think the window sticker said $2,600 charge.

It's usually a $2500 extra. I have seen a handful of non-4.6is Estoril Blue and Imola Red X5's, and a few Carbon Black X5's.
