A Sirius question

Long time lurker - finally decided to join up! Hi to everyone!

I have a X3 3.0 si that I got in March (pics soon!)

It is prewired for Sirius but BMW Canada tells me that a Canadian BMW tuner will not be available until 2008!

Have any Canadian owners purchased and installed the BMW Sirius kit from the US? Does it work in Canada?

We've sold the Sirius kits to lots of Canadian members - the signal reaches Canada as well, there's no reason to wait.

Feel free to contact me directly, we can provide Sirius as well as XM for your X3.

Satellite foot print for Sirius covers Canada as well. It should work with out any problems unless you are way up there North and out of the satellite foot-print.

Just wanted to let you all know that I just received the OEM BMW Sirius kit from Tom G. at Eastern Auto Source. Got the unit in less than a week and that was with a day delay in customs. Everything was there for a trouble free installation with easy to read instructions and a BMW user guide.

Installation was no problem (45 minutes and I really took my time)!

Activation through Sirius Canada was also no problem. The radio display gave me the toll free Canada number and within 5 minutes I was registered and listening to all channels. I received the one year subsription at no charge - no questions asked.
