Who has the Cargo net and Running board on their X3?

There are many X3 here in Toronto but none of them that I have seen equipped with the running board and compartment net. Why are there so many X3 without the board? Personally, I like the board and the Net, They are cool!

My X3 has the same packages and I definitely found a use for the net. I just came back to Calgary after visiting B.C. and I had taken my dog with me. The net allowed her to come closer to the front without causing loss of comfort on my part.
I'd say BMW did this one right.

Looks like I'll be placing a call to my local parts department. That is one cool accessory for when I take my 100 lb. lab to the vet.

I don't think is is available as an accessory. The net latches into special receptacles in the inside roof which are not there if you didn't order it from the factory.

But let us know if you find differently!

Me too! I'm interested to know if this can be retrofited.

I tried ordering the Net only, but the dealer told me I would have to replace the whole thing that holds the cargo compartment cover. He was also trying to talk me out of it because he was afraid he might miss out ordering the other bits and pieces (brackets, screws..etc)

Until my dealer learns how to After Sales Service.... my poor 3 x Goldens have to share the little space in the cargo compartment

Your local dealer should be able to give you a price. You may also try this link.

Good luck! Also, welcome to X3 and X5 World. Hope you become a regular. We have a wonderful group of knowledgeable folks who will gladly help you with anything they can. You should check out the Articles section -- very good stuff there.

Oh yeah, post pics of your ride!

Juan
