Question for X3 owners.
I notice that many of us on the X3 board are from other countries esp. in Europe. Do any of you have a 2007 equipped with the automatic transmission? If so, have you had any problems with it, especially regarding hesistation?

I have auto transimission( i got the car in 2007, i think it is a 2007 production vehicule, how can i be certain?) and the past few weeks i have been experiencing gear problems(i have opened a thread) but no hesitation.Sometimes it up/downshifts stiffly and you feel a shake in the cabin.
Are you from Europe?I thought you were American. Last edited by bmw5; 08-04-2007 at 06:08 AM. |

Yes I'm American. On another forum, there have been boatloads of complaints about serious hesistation problems with the 6-speed automatic, to the point where many are pursuing the lemon laws and swearing never to buy a BMW again. Curious to see if other models develop this. Additional replies greatly appreciated.

I had an '07 loaner w/autobox for a while, no problems. IIRC, BMW is getting it's automatic from GM. Go figure.

In Europe we have like option AT, but on the X3 3.0sd (biturbo diesel engine) its only automatic. I never hear to somebody to complain about the hesitation, maybe because for the diesel engine the software for AT is different. I don't know exactly about AT but i have a friend with 3.0sd and i will ask him.
