Front grills

Can I direct swap the 07 with an 06 model grills? I kind of like the titanium look on the new ones. Thanks

07 grills are bigger so they won't fit on an 06 bumper.

You can paint them yourself.

Here's an article (for the X5, but same idea). Also has the correct paint color.

I don't know the exact procedure for removing the grills, but RealOEM.com should give you an idea.

They have to come out, I just don't know the exact procedure.

Once you remove the grills from the bumper, you can separate the slats from the chrome surround and just paint the slats. Then once done just snap the slats back into the chrome.

Hi peoe2, I found the clips to be at the lower part of the grill. Do I unclip by pressing down the clip and pull or doing it the other way? Damn, I am still baffled... anyone can help?

OK, here are a few pics for you. There are 8 clips on each grill. Press down on the clips then pull the grills out. Don't be shy pulling them as otherwise they won't come out of the bumper.

Then you can simply push the black slats out from the back of the grill.
