Dont know on the X3 but on my X5 it is on the black label inside the engine bay on the passengers side. You will see a no.,like 430 and below you will see the colour description, like Oxfordgreen.Your car being silver,I would recommend that after your find the colour code you also take out the petrol cap cover so that "they" can match the colour perfectly.I bought those pencil paints touchup from Bmw for my Oxford green X5 and and gave them the paint code refe.,only to find out that the colour tone was different. Also, when I had my spoilers colour coded, again the colour had to be matched to my petrol cover as it didnt coincide with the colour code.

Welcome to the board, jucarbon.

Let us know how it works out with your touch-up. Also, I would think that your dealer (your Service Advisor, or Parts Manager) would know your color code?

Good luck!

Juan
