Smile Rear LCI(new style) lights to 2004 x3 ?

Rear lights are looking wery fine on LCI X3"s
I think about this upgrade now

As i can see in wiring - there are some new connectors,
and new output from LCM to LED lights (Frequency modulated signal)

Maybe this upgrade was already done by someone?

Opinions are welcome

you either need to buy yourself a new lcm and run all new cables for the rear or do what i did and have a control box made for it to function properly...

How many times do people need to ask?

r207 you keep saying in this and other forums that you've successfully done the retrofit, yet when asked you won't give any details about it.

Since January 2008 people in other forums were helpful to you in giving electrical schemas and the specific information you asked for, so be kind and show gratitude by in return sharing the details of how you've done it, unless your goal is to keep this your little secret.

I personally could care less about this retrofit, but others would want to know. The mentality in this community is to share, not just take.

wow take it easy mate, there is nothing to hide....the new rear lci as i said needs control boxes or new LCM. the control boxes i had made for me from a modified E60 retrofit kit from bmw...its a lot of work on the car specifically and not knowing what options (rear camera, fogetx) and year or country the car comes from im not willing to comment....if your in australia then Yes drop me a line and im more than happy for you to come and check out my car if you are keen to do the mod...
