Nav Retrofit in an X3??

Anyone know if it's possible to retrofit MKIV Nav into an X3 that didn't come with it from the factory? Anyone done it?

My wife wants an X3 and there are some great deals out there now on 05 models but almost none with factory nav.

TIA

Why not consider a portable aftermarket NAV system? Functionality and performance can be better (depending on what you choose), price is a fraction of the built-in, and you can use it with any vehicle or when travelling in a rental car. Plus you get to keep it when you eventually get rid of your vehicle. I'm going to be picking up a portable myself this month.

I haven't yet seen anyone that has done it, but given that I've seen retrofits done on 3 series, 5 series, 7 series and X5's, it's likely possible. However, it's not an easy task and not cheap, so I would look long at hard at finding one with nav before going this route.
