2006 X3 Bumpers w/o Sports Package

IMO it looks great, with just the right amount of black plastic left over on the sides to keep it looking sporty. I definately do not need to purchase the Sports package if it comes like this standard...

What do all of you think?

You can build your own 2006 X3 3.0i on www.bmwusa.com now. Looks much better.

Very nice looking body!

But I'm just wondering, is this really a "Face Lift" for the X3 2006? or it's the same X3 with the new M Style body kit added (and the updated engine)?

From the www.bmwusa.com site, all X3 2006 models comes in this style;
but from the www.bmw.co.uk site, all X3 2006 model still come with the usual black bumpers, with the option to add this M Style body kit (even on their PDF brochure).

If it's really a "Face Lift", it won't show up as an "option"? Right?

Naaaaw.... it's just a light chemical peel with a touch of botox.

I liked the old bumpers from a functional perspective. Around here we get massive amounts of paint damage from stone chips during the winter, so the new front bumper will take a beating. Other cities sand their roads after when snowy or icy. Here they lay down pea sized gravel that not only causes millions of dollars of damage a year to vehicles, but is useless for stopping because it doesn't stay on the road and it acts like ball bearings if it does. Wear and tear at the rear from loading and unloading will be more noticeable too.

We have the same problem in Vienna, .. if there is snow or not there are tons of small stones on the streets the whole winter. It´s terrible and I wonder, why the insurance-companies do not react on it

I wonder, because I thought that it is only in Vienna like this

PS. I have family in Calgary, but I still have not visited them. I heard it is a nice city

So... are you 99/9% sure you're gonna get a black X3, or you're gonna get an X3 that is 99.9% black?

Juan
