Cellphones for 2008 X3

Just bought an X3. I want to get a phone to pair with the car, but Verizon does not sell most of the phones listed as supported. (except one razr).

What phones do you all have that you use succesfully with youer X3?

What features should I look for in a phone that might indicate its a good candidate?

I think all phones are working with BMW Bluetooth, but only on few there are all the functions supported.
I've tested:

iPhone
All Smartphones with Windows
All Symbian Phones (Nokia)

I have a Palm Treo 700w that was a pain to get working. Pairing the phone and making calls by number and receiving calls worked fine but I couldn't get my contacts to download to the car. Finally I found an app called JetWare mobile that fixed the bluetooth features Verizon disabled.
