Airbag Light Help

I have just finished having the doors in my car retrimnmed after getting a 7inch driver put in the door pockets.

I know the audio shop had the airbag disconnected and i drove the car for a day or so with the airbags not installed as i needed it. Now usually i can just do a reset of the airbag light throught the dealer however this time it keeps throwing the error......what have i done and can i reverse it...

should i try to disconnect the battery then try the dealer coding again??

or are there any other tricks that people know that may have triggered this for them to stay on after a reset

Is your X3 one of the years taht was recalled for airbag problems? Maybe just bring the car into the dealer and ask for the airbag/mat replacement under the recall... Just an idea to throw around...
