Hi all.
Does anybody know how easy it is to retro fit a sat nav system into an X3. All the parts are genuine. In regards to the wiring is it all plug in or would I need to cut into any of the wiring. Also,if anybody has any diagrams I'd be grateful to see them! TIA |

Matty
Get a copy of TIS and set aside a weekend preferably when it's warmed-up ! Basic tools are all that's needed plus a reasonable understanding of how to remove trim panels. BMW retrofit instructions attached |

Retrofit of Sat Nav
Hi
I retrofitted the system. It is quite easy. There is a BMW PDF which goes through the process step by step. Let me know if you need it? Also the retrofit kit is simly plug and play. As far as I recall there were two difficult bits which were the blue/yellow wire to the fuse box and the black wire to the rear of the instrument cluster. Where are you based in the UK? Rob |

Hi
Thanks for the info and the tips. I'm in West Yorkshire. Having a go at fitting it this weekend. I've roped in a mate to help as well. He's a Vauxhall engineer but he's mates with a BMW engineer so he's been picking his brains! I'll let you know how we get on Thanks again Matty |
