Oil Services in the UK (East London) + MOT?

Does anyone know what kind of amount I should be paying for an oil service?

Our '54 3.0i X3's about 1000 miles past its oil service due date. My mate was going to do it since he's an automotive engineer but arranging a time with him is looking to be a fair bit of a hassle so I figured I may as well just get it done at a service centre.

I gather that BMW dealerships charge an arm and a leg so what kind of figure should I expect from an independent and do you have any recommendations for any?

I've been quoted £180 by one place in East London.

Looking through my paperwork I've also seen that the car is due its MOT in just under a month's time. If I find a good place to do the oil service then should I get them to do the MOT too and how much should one of those cost?
