X3 Bumpers / Body Kits / Face Lift

Hi all,

There seems to be a few questions regarding the different Bumpers of the X3, standard or not standard, facelift or not facelift... etc. My conclusion is there's NO facelift so far. The "original" bumper for the X3 is still the Black hard-plastic, from 2004-2006. The rest are just "body kit", which can be fitted onto all X3s. In some countries, the "Body Kit" is fitted and sold (or Marketed) as "standard".

Notes:
- No.1-Original Black, The Original X3 since launch till now (even 2006).
- No.2-Original Color, this is NOT just body-color-paint over the original black bumper (hard plastic). This is a different bumper made of the same materials as the other body kits.
- No.3-Aero Kit 1, original BMW kit.
- there's also an Aero Kit 2, which is almost the same as the Aero Kit 1, but without the side skirts.
- No.4-M Sport Kit, original BMW kit. This is the one being sold as "standard" in the USA in 2006.

Well, isn't #4 the facelift? In other words, we haven't seen it before this year.....same as the new wheels for `06.

my friend works at a bmw dealer in the uk..

there is no facelift x3 all they have done is brought out the "msport" model (this is now the 2006 model in the usa) which has fully color coded bumpers, which are also styled different to the se and sport models.

The x3 se and x3 sport are still current models and they have the black bumpers you refer to... The x3's are all the same looks wise apart from version of alloy wheel you choose.

unless you choose to have one of the two bmw aerokits fitted to ya x3...
