2004 X3 3.0i BMWNA Recall Notice

Hi everyone! Just an advisory that today I received a notice from BMWNA that there is Recall Campaign to replace BREMI Ignition Coils.

According to the notice “BMW has determined that certain 2003. 2003 and 2004 model BMW automobiles equipped with six, eight and twelve cylinder engines may not fully meet the Federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the California Air Resources Board emissions control requirements.”

The problem is described as; “Your 2002. 2003 or 2004 model year BMW automobile incorporates ignition coils that may fail prematurely. This could cause the engine to run rough and the Service Engine Soon light to illuminate.”

This is described as a Voluntary Emissions Recall Campaign to replace BREMI Ignition Coils. The Campaign Number is: 05E-A01.

Repairs required are free of charge for parts and labor. Ignition coils will be replaced with a new improved version.
