Is possible to fit a snow chain on X3? It is because some one told me X3 is a Xdrive & is not recommended. It that true? Post from Australia

I have 17 inch rims for precisely this reason ie I can fit std hains but I noticed the local dealer has some funky low profile chains fitted to 18 inch rims on the show room.

Melbourne yes. Was Brighton BMW (Ex Meneres) - saw them near the spare parts desk about a few weeks ago.
