New X3 Owner

I bit the bullet--after months of lurking I'm the proud owner of a CPO 2008 X3 3.0si. I've been looking at the X3, GLK, Q5, but happened upon an X3 that was the color I wanted, relatively low miles, had every package I wanted.

Something about the previous generation mechanicals plus the idea that it's at the end of its current lifecycle was comforting to me. And I feel better having the extra CPO warranty to boot.

I might be in the minority but I think she's a beauty. Love the proportions, character lines, convex/concave surfaces of the doors, just the right amount of cladding. In certain lighting the Silver Gray almost has a green, sometimes blue tint to it. Love the seating position, all of the glass. Really has a nice commanding view. Drives and handles beautifully. I find myself taking the windy roads home--it handles really well for its size.

Here she is, freshly detailed.

Congrats.

I had a two X3's a 06 and a 07.
I loved those cars drove the 06 for about 18 months and the 07 till I picked up the X5 in March.

Never had a single problem with either and really enjoyed them.

Hope you have the same experience.

Well, here is a handy site, which shows most of the
BMW oe wheel styles...
Just plug in X3,(or X5, et al), in the drop down middle box:
Auswahl anzeigen: Baureihe: Alle

and you will get a photo list; click on one and it show a
close up pic, with wheel size, offset, tire size, etc.

Thanks all. I think they're the standard type 204, 17" which came with car, pretty common here. I like that they're pretty easy to keep clean LOL. Just 5 spokes. Here are some more pics from my recent trip to California. Averaged about 25mpg...pretty impressed with the vehicle so far.
