Anyway, I loosened the minus on the battery while doing this. Did however once connect the power windows, and not the airbag, to be able to roll them down = now the airbag warning light is on... Question: Do I need to go into the shop to have this reset or can I do it via the OBC in the instruments or some other way? Everything with car's is uber expensive in Sweden and I know this is a 1 minute thing with the right tool... |

The airbag light normally comes on if you disconnect the airbag or the seat electrical connectors and then turn the ignition on. Perhaps you disconnected a side airbag connector?
Anyway, you can use Carsoft or any of the other BMW diagnostic tools (INPA, GT1, DIS, PA Soft) cheaply available via eBay to turn it off (and do lots more diagnostics besides). Otherwise there are cheap tools also available which can reset the airbag light. |

Thanks for the input and yes, I did screw up. I quickly connected the power windows but not the airbag and connected the battery. Then disconnected again but then damage was done. Will check the ebay stuff, I like such things and have no hurry to reset it.
Question: what are other cheap tools? |
