Thumbs up Play 150 songs on 1 CD

Maybe you all know about this.. but i figred it out myself and proud of it heh.. I dont have the 5 CD changer in my car i only have the single disc... so i read once that X3 plays Mp3 songs so i realized that you can upload about 150 songs to a cd as DATA files not as Music CD... and it will work in the car..

Go try it out.. Leave your ipods and mp3s at home heh

Subfolders

Does it support subfolders?

I remember that some of the radios that were not supposed to even play MP3s did play them if the cd did not subfolders. Maybe this version that officially plays them supports subfolders.

Thumbs up Subfolders ok

My 2006 does support subfolders. The radio shows the 'folder sequence number' in front of the track number and it is even possible to change from one folder to another without skipping song by song

Folders can be changed by first pressing 'm' and then the arrows on either side of the 'm' button.

There is one subfolder on my test cd that has files that do not function and the player skips them one by one. I have to verify what is wrong with those files. Maybe the files are encoded using VBR or has weird file names with unsupported characters. But otherwise works perfectly.

If it only showed the song name....
