It does look interesting. No I have not jumped in - tempting though.
Some issue I would have to resolve are:
I would have to check on map availability for Australia and update cost first though. How good is the screen in direct sunlight. I have an older Garmin Nuvi mounted in the current tray and it handles the sun quite ok - some GPS units I have seen are unreadable in direct sun light - this unit would have to be as good as the Garmin IMO.

That looks a lot better than plastering some hideous unit on your windshield

Aren't you concerned about the stability of a company when they have such glaring spelling and grammatical errors in the ad?

They've got a pretty good reputation and feedback from users on the e46fanatics forums on their e46 specific model - its the most OEM looking alternative out there without the exorbitant BMW prices...

I know the original BMW system for the X3 was a ridiculous price, somewhere north of $2000, for a system that was very limited. But then BMW came out with a new accessory that mounted a Garmin 765 in the same location, charged it from the vehicle, and had an option to put the sound through the car stereo. That was the one I considered. Not sure what the price is, but I liked that it was removable and so could be used hand held as well.

I used that but mount my phone there instead.

The wire out the side goes to the aux so I can listen to Pandora, GPS, mp3 and such. the dock I use charges the phone as well.

Reputation is very important... much more so than the manufacturer's claims, of course. I just think that it's obviously a bad interpretation so I'm assuming it's made in China or somewhere overseas. If their quality control is that bad for their advertising, I get worried about production values.

I do like the look, though. And if it does what they claim it does for that price, it's a good deal.

Tom Tom maps suck in Canada! I have a handheld Tom Tom that cannot resolve my home address in Calgary - and it is in a very established area so no excuse.
