Sunroof Deflector

Hi Guys,

My wife and I just took delivery of our 2006 X3 3.0i yesterday. This is our first BMW. We’ve only had it one day and like it very much! We're looking forward to the good times ahead with this vehicle. I’m looking to do some mods with the help from this board (which is the best out there).

I was looking for the sunroof deflector to buffer some of the wind noise, but noticed it was absent from the accessories catalog. Any ideas where I can find one? Or will the X5's sunroof deflector fit on the X3? Thanks

There should be a built-in one that pops up when your sunroof opens.

True, although it could be a lttle better. When you open the sunroof, it pops up automatically. There is also a little screen attached to it.

I've heard if you buy the crossbar luggage rack things, the front one would help push the wind over the top a little better.

Here is what I'm talking about:

I did see the pop-up screen thingy, but it doesn't help much IMHO . The cross bars are a good idea if it truely does work. Guess I have some research to do.

Thanks for the replies.
