Auto-dimming outside rear view mirros

I know only the high end BMW models have this feature. Too bad the parts are so expensive. Would be cool though if I had the cash. The odd thing is auto dimming outside mirrors are not offered as any package, option or accessories. So what do these parts exist? Last edited by MysticBlueX3; 12-15-2005 at 01:00 PM.

I was thinking, technically I can only purchase the dimming mirror glass (around $400 for both sides). Then I can just run wires from the interior auto dimming mirror (or whatever controller) to the exterior ones. It makes sense that when the interior mirror dim, you want the exterior ones to dim also. Just a thought. I think $400 + wires + couple hours of labor will be worth it for auto dimming exterior side mirrors.
