I found a pretty good price on the X3 oem alarm kit *cough* Rob_ *cough*. I was just wondering what you guys think about oem alarm vs. aftermarket. I would be able to install the oem kit myself, but I don't know much about it after that. Is it a good system? Worth it to have? Or should I just get aftermarket? What would the main difference be? I'm not looking for a ton of bells and whistles, just some good functionality. Thanks!

I think the oem alarm is great. Besides the usual alarm it also include tilt sensor and motion sensor. Plus, the oem alarm control is integrated into your key so you don't get that extra alarm remote that aftermarket alarms uses.
