This is the sparkly color black/grey finish that came on 04 e83 it seems to be a lot more durable than the 05+ rubbery type trim coating. My brothers 04 has this trim and it is original and appears almost new! I got 3 trims for a local salvage and the main one I bought new

Today I added a nice feature that I loved in my e38 but did not come in my e83. This is the auto dimming side view mirror, unfortunately I’m going to stick with the single drivers side (much like Mercedes does) . Luckily I found a nice mirror on eBay and transferred everything into my mirror made my own harness and ran my wires up to pins 5/4 of the rear view
