BMW X3 has World's Longest Online Banner Ad
Toronto agency Cundari recently whipped up a BMW banner ad which it claims is the longest ever produced. Appearing first as an innocent 300-by-250-pixel box, it expands when moused over to a whopping 18,000 pixels high—that's 20 feet—with more than 5,500 words of copy going on and on (and on and on) about the BMW X3, the impressiveness of the banner itself, and various other topics, not all of them terribly salient in the context of auto marketing. It's more goofy than anything—a similar tone to the famous Pringles banner that people couldn't stop clicking. This seems at odds with the BMW brand, but it's a fun project anyway. And don't just cheat by scrolling to the bottom to read the end. They figured you'd do that.

Technically that's a tower ad not a banner ad.
