Real world MPG in 2011 35i?
I know it's rated to 26 hwy, but what are you averaging?

I suspect it is too early for F25 owners to have real numbers. There will be break-in periods before they get those real numbers.
E70 35i models, broken in, combined city/highway, are getting 21 mpg (US) real world. Move up or down from there based on more or less highway. http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-foru...ctual-mpg.html Same engine in my 535i does a real world 24 mpg (US) city, 29 mpg highway (US). I would think the F25 should be able to split the E70/535i numbers, once broken in.

Based on the traffic in this sub-forum, it seems that there isn't much action on the new X3.

Like JCL said, it's too early to get numbers. I've only seen a couple on the roads so far since they came out back in Dezember. Plus, a lot of them are being sold to non-car enthusiast folks who wouldn't be on this forum in the first place.
(The X3 enthusiasts are holding onto their MT E83s) |

Just to add an irrelevant but related comment. I've been driving an F25 20d four-cylinder turbo-diesel (claimed 135kW & 380Nm) and got 37 mpg (US) for mixed driving. Official figure (combined cycle) for that vehicle here is 42mpg (US) which I reckon you'd get for real-world highway only.
We don't get the 35i. The hero model here is the 190kW/560Nm (single turbo) 30d while the petrol option is via a soft-tuned 3.0-litre six, dubbed the 28i. |

The F25 20d is 300kg lighter than the lightest E53. An E83 with the last-gen 20d and six-speeder is capable of the same.

About 3000km, so on the way to being run-in although certainly not all the way there.

We've only had ours for 2 days, but it seems easy to get 18mpg in the city and 25 or so driving at 80+mph. Seems to be in keeping with the EPA estimates.
